Back home

Off the island of Koh Kradan we headed by longtail boat and a taxi-flight combination to bustling Bangkok where we enjoyed the last night (if you don't count the night on the plane from Bangkok back home) of our trip. We stayed at the Siam@Siam a nice hotel smack in the middle of town.

The hotel offered a nice rooftop pool from where we had a beautiful view across the city. On the lounge we enjoyed a byebye drink and thought a lot about the past time that we so much enjoyed and were also looking forward to see friends and family again.

This being our last day, we of course had to jump into the pool one more time before heading back to the snowy winters in Europe.

Last honeymoon days...

The last days of our honeymoon we spent on islands. First, we had to tick of Phi Phi island to make sure, we can do the planned Yoga. The 'Yoga-Studio' was open air and we could enjoy a beautiful evening atmosphere while trying to do our Yoga postures (with mixed success ;-)

Apart from Yoga we also headed out for our last tropical climb and rock climbed the Tonsai Tower on Phi Phi.

Heading on to Koh Kradan a small island on the southern west coast of Thailand we relaxed on the beach and at the pool for a couple of days and enjoyed the time we had for each other. The island is very calm and we took the time to relax.

During the day we went swimming in the sea, jogging on the beach or trekking on the island. Snorkeling we saw nice little clownfish ("Nemos") in their sea anemones and also muray eels, lion fish and many other tropical fish. The water was turquiose clear and nicely warm.

One evening we trekked over to the sunset beach on the west side of the island. First we got a bit lost in the jungle, but after some backtracking we found the right track to bring us to the beach.

End of this week we will already be back home. On the one hand it would be great to spend more time here in Asia, on the other we are very much looking forward to seeing you guys again. On top of it we also miss skiing and some European food (although the Asian cuisine is very tasty as well: Evelyne loves Teh Tarik and Ralph could eat Naan every day...)
